YLG Terms of Service

1. Definitions

Unless the context indicates otherwise, the following terms in this Agreement have the meanings set out below:

• “Services” means all services provided under the name YLG, including the official website (www.ylg.net.cn), skin site (skin.ylg.net.cn), documentation site (docs.ylg.net.cn), web-based territory map, YLG Minecraft game server (the “Game Server”), and related features and new features introduced in the future.
• “We” means the YLG Server Administration Team responsible for operating and maintaining the services.
• “You” or “User” means any natural person who accesses, registers for, or uses the services in any way.
• “Account” means the website account you register on the official website to log in to and use the services.
• “Game Account” means the Minecraft username you use on the Game Server and its associated in-game identity.
• “User Content” means any content you upload, publish, send, or otherwise provide while using the services, including but not limited to text, images, attachments, skin and cape textures, profile information, private messages, and in-game builds and chat.
• “Server Rules” means the rules for the Game Server published on the “Server Rules” page of the official website, as well as any rules, announcements, and notices published in-game or in the community.
• “Sponsorship Rewards” means in-game content such as appearances and decorations that you obtain by redeeming a code on the Game Server after sponsoring through a third-party sponsorship platform.
• “Third-Party Platform” means any platform or service operated by an entity other than us and related to the services, including third-party account login platforms and third-party sponsorship platforms.

2. Agreement Structure and Acceptance

2.1 This Agreement consists of its main text, the Privacy Policy, the Server Rules, and any rules, announcements, and notices related to the services that we have published or may publish in the future. All of the above form an integral part of this Agreement and have the same legal effect as its main text.

2.2 If the main text of this Agreement conflicts with the Server Rules, the Server Rules govern matters related to in-game conduct; the Privacy Policy governs matters related to the processing of personal information; and the main text of this Agreement governs all other matters.

2.3 By checking the box to accept this Agreement and the Privacy Policy when registering an account or submitting a whitelist application, you agree to all of this Agreement, including the information regarding the cross-border processing of personal information.

2.4 You may be required to separately agree to specific rules when using certain features of the services. If such rules conflict with this Agreement, the specific rules prevail.

3. Services

3.1 The services constitute a non-commercial Minecraft player community formed voluntarily by players and maintained by volunteer members of the administration team, with the aim of providing a long-term, stable survival gameplay environment and a platform for player interaction. We operate on a non-profit basis, and basic features of the services are available at no charge.

3.2 This service currently includes:

• Official website: account registration and login, community forums, private messages, notifications, points and check-ins, whitelist applications, punishment records, server status, ban appeals, and more;
• Skin site: uploading, managing, displaying, and downloading skin and cape textures, as well as loading skins in the game client;
• Documentation site: player guides, frequently asked questions, and gameplay information;
• Web-based territory map: view and manage in-game territories on the website using a link obtained in-game;
• Game servers: Minecraft multiplayer services, including the lobby, survival servers, and minigames.

3.3 This service is an independently operated player community and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. Your use of the Minecraft client is also subject to the Mojang Studios End User License Agreement and applicable usage guidelines.

3.4 Some features of this service may rely on third-party platforms, such as third-party account login and sponsorship platforms. When using these features, you must also comply with the rules of the relevant third-party platforms. Third-party services are the responsibility of their respective providers, and we cannot guarantee their continued availability.

4. Changes, Interruptions, and Termination of Service

4.1 To improve the service or meet operational needs, we may adjust its content, features, and rules, including but not limited to changing game rules and gameplay, switching game versions or plugins, adjusting features, or resetting maps or parts of maps.

4.2 We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of major changes that may significantly affect your use of this service through website announcements, on-site notifications, email, or other means.

4.3 This service may be temporarily interrupted in the following circumstances:

• Equipment maintenance, system upgrades, data backups, or migrations;
• Failures involving servers, networks, power, or other infrastructure;
• Network attacks or temporary measures taken to address security threats;
• Interruptions to third-party platforms or service providers;
• Force majeure or other circumstances beyond our control.

4.4 We have no plans to cease operations. If we need to terminate all services due to force majeure or other objective circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to announce this in advance and handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

5. Account Registration

5.1 You may register an account using an email address, or register directly using a third-party account that we support, such as Microsoft, Google, or GitHub.

5.2 When registering, you must provide information that is true, accurate, and valid, and update it promptly if it changes. You are responsible for any consequences resulting from your inability to use this service or recover your account, or any other consequences, due to inaccurate or false information you provide.

5.3 Each email address, including variations using aliases of the same address, may be used to register only one account. To prevent abuse, the number of accounts that can be registered from the same network within a certain period is limited.

5.4 Security verification is required when registering, logging in, or recovering a password to prevent bulk registrations by automated programs, malicious logins, and email abuse. You must not use scripts, automated programs, public proxy servers, or other means to bypass or interfere with security verification. Requests from public proxy servers may be rejected outright.

5.5 Usernames, avatars, and profile signatures you set must not contain any of the following:

• Content that violates laws or regulations, or public order and good morals;
• Content that infringes on others' lawful rights and interests, including their name, likeness, trademarks, or copyrights;
• Content that impersonates another person, a moderator, or an official representative;
• Advertising, contact details, or other promotional information;
• Content that is misleading, offensive, or unsuitable for public display.

5.6 Newly set usernames, avatars, and signatures may take some time to become visible to other users. Usernames may be changed once every thirty days; after a change, the previous username may be registered by someone else. We may withhold profiles that do not comply with this agreement, require you to modify them, or reset them to default content.

6. Account Security and Use

6.1 You must keep your account, password, linked email address, and third-party accounts secure. Do not disclose them to others or reuse passwords from other websites.

6.2 All actions performed through your account are considered your own, and you are responsible for them. You are responsible for any consequences if others use your account due to circumstances attributable to you, such as a leaked password or someone else using your device.

6.3 If you discover that your account has been compromised, change your password immediately, sign out of suspicious devices under “Settings → Login Devices,” and notify us using the contact email address. We will assist you within reason.

6.4 Accounts and game accounts are for your personal use only. You must not lend, rent, transfer, give away, sell, or purchase them. If we find that an account has been used in any of these ways, we may restrict or suspend its use.

6.5 To protect your account, we will perform necessary security checks when you log in and email you an alert if we detect an unusual login. See the Privacy Policy for details on how we handle this.

7. Third-Party Account Login

7.1 You may choose to log in to this service using third-party accounts such as Microsoft, Google, or GitHub. The registration, use, and security of third-party accounts are the responsibility of the respective platforms and are subject to their terms of service and privacy policies.

7.2 When you first use a third-party account, if its email address is not yet registered with this service, you can complete registration by setting a username. If that email address is already registered, you must enter the password for the existing account to confirm the link.

7.3 Accounts registered through a third-party account do not have a password initially. You can set one in “Settings,” or link or unlink third-party accounts under “Settings → Login Methods.” To prevent loss of access to your account, you cannot unlink the last remaining third-party account unless you have set a password.

7.4 If you are unable to log in due to issues with a third-party platform, we will make reasonable efforts to help you log in by other means, but we are not responsible for the services provided by third-party platforms.

8. Whitelist and Game Accounts

8.1 The game server operates a whitelist system. You must submit a whitelist application on the official website and obtain approval from the Administration Team before joining the game server.

8.2 You must provide accurate information in your application. You must not impersonate others, submit duplicate applications, or use automated means to submit an application. We may reject applications containing inaccurate information, indicating a history of misconduct, or otherwise deemed unsuitable based on an overall assessment, without providing specific reasons. You may request a review of an unsuccessful application as instructed on the page. The review decision is final.

8.3 If you select a premium account, the game name you provide must be a valid Minecraft username. Once your application is approved, you may add additional game accounts as permitted by the rules on the page.

8.4 Your game account is linked to the website account used to submit your application. You may set or reset your game login password on the official website. Do not use the same password for your game account as for other websites.

8.5 As your in-game identity is associated with your game name, you may not change a game name for which your application has already been approved. If a change is necessary, contact the Administration Team. The Administration Team may decide whether to process your request based on the circumstances.

8.6 Whitelist status is non-transferable. Whitelist status may be removed if your account is deleted, banned, or used in violation of this Agreement.

9. User Conduct

9.1 When using the Service, you must comply with applicable laws and regulations, this Agreement, and the Server Rules; respect the lawful rights and interests of other users; and help maintain a friendly and fair community.

9.2 In-Game

On the game server, you must not:

• Use hacks, cheating clients, automation scripts, game modifiers, or other programs and mods that may provide an unfair advantage;
• Exploit bugs in the game or plugins for improper gain, or fail to report discovered bugs in a timely manner;
• Duplicate items, blocks, or in-game currency by any means;
• Damage, alter, or take others' structures or items without permission, or engage in fraudulent trades;
• Deliberately cause lag, crashes, or otherwise interfere with the normal operation of the server;
• Violate any other provisions of the Server Rules.

9.3 In the Community

On the official website, skin site, or in-game chat, you must not publish, send, or distribute:

• Content that violates laws and regulations, including content that endangers national security, promotes terrorism or extremism, or involves obscenity, pornography, gambling, drugs, or violence;
• Insults, defamation, threats, or harassment of others, or discriminatory or hateful speech based on ethnicity, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other characteristics;
• Others' personal information without permission, or content that infringes on others' privacy through doxxing or similar means;
• Content that infringes others' copyrights, trademarks, or other lawful rights and interests;
• Advertisements, spamming, malicious flooding, or promotional information unrelated to the Service;
• Deliberately inciting conflict, fomenting hostility between users, or spreading false information;
• Content that impersonates another person, a member of the Administration Team, or an official representative.

9.4 Technology and Security

You must not:

• Use crawlers, scripts, or other automated means to collect large amounts of content from the Service, or access the Service at a frequency that interferes with its normal operation;
• Bypass, damage, or interfere with security verification, access restrictions, or other security measures of the Service;
• Attack, scan, or gain unauthorized access to the Service's servers, networks, or programs, or exploit their vulnerabilities;
• Distribute viruses, Trojan horses, or other malicious programs;
• Access another person's account or non-public data of the Service without authorization.

9.5 Real-World Transactions

You must not buy or sell, or rent or lend, accounts, game accounts, in-game items, in-game currency, or sponsorship rewards in exchange for real-world currency or anything else of value. We do not provide protection for any such transactions. The parties involved are solely responsible for any resulting losses or disputes.

10. User Content

10.1 You retain the copyrights and other rights in the user content you publish as provided by law. You must ensure that you hold lawful rights to, or have obtained authorization from the rights holder for, any user content you publish, and that the content does not violate laws and regulations or this Agreement.

10.2 To display, store, back up, and transmit user content, you grant us a free, non-exclusive license within the scope of the Service, sublicensable to service providers that provide technical support for the Service, to store, reproduce, display, and distribute user content, and to compress, crop, or convert its format for display on different devices. This license terminates when you delete the relevant content or close your account, except for backups retained as required by law, content already quoted or reposted by others, and content that must be retained to resolve disputes or fulfill legal obligations.

10.3 Posts, replies, and profile information you publish publicly on the forum will be displayed to other users or the public according to your privacy settings. Private messages you send are visible only to the sender and recipient and will not be displayed publicly.

10.4 Skins and capes that you upload to the skin site and set as public will be displayed in the skin library for all visitors. Other users may view, favorite, and use them. Textures associated with your in-game name will be made available to game clients for retrieval by that name and may be visible to other players in-game.

10.5 Buildings and creations you make in-game are stored by the game server while it is operating. To maintain the game environment, we may modify or remove buildings that affect server operations or violate the Server Rules.

10.6 We may feature screenshots of public areas and buildings from the game server on our official website, social media, or promotional materials. If you do not want your creations to be featured, please contact us.

11. Content Moderation and Reporting

11.1 To maintain community standards and fulfill our legal obligations, we moderate user content. Usernames, signatures, posts, replies, private messages, and images you upload may undergo automated content safety checks and, where necessary, manual review by our moderation team.

11.2 We may restrict the visibility of, hide, or remove content that violates laws or regulations, this Agreement, or the Server Rules without prior notice. We may restrict the visibility of potentially harmful content pending review.

11.3 You may use the report function on the relevant page to report content that you believe violates this Agreement. Illegal or harmful content may also be reported to report@ylg.net.cn. We will review reports within a reasonable period, but are not required to act on every report or explain the details of our actions to the reporter. Malicious reports or misuse of the reporting function may result in appropriate measures.

11.4 Our moderation of user content does not mean that we are responsible for its authenticity, legality, or accuracy. User content reflects only the views of its author.

12. Enforcement Measures

12.1 If you violate this Agreement or the Server Rules, we may take one or more of the following measures, individually or together, depending on the severity of the violation:

• Reminder or warning;
• Restrict the visibility of, hide, or remove relevant content;
• Deduct points or restrict access to certain features;
• Mute you in-game or in the community;
• Temporarily or permanently suspend your account or game account;
• Remove your whitelist status;
• Roll back or restore affected game data;
• Report serious cases or suspected violations of law to the relevant authorities as required by law.

12.2 To prevent evasion of penalties, serious suspensions may also apply to other accounts, game accounts, devices, and networks associated with the same user.

12.3 We will exercise reasonable discretion based on factors such as the nature and consequences of the violation, intent, and prior history. In urgent cases, we may take action first and verify the facts afterward.

12.4 In-game disciplinary records, including the in-game name, penalty type, reason, and duration, will be displayed to logged-in users on the “Disciplinary Records” page of the official website.

13. Appeals

13.1 If you disagree with a measure we have taken, you may appeal through the appeal page on our official website or by contacting us via email. Please provide your account, in-game name, grounds for appeal, and relevant evidence.

13.2 We will carefully review your appeal and notify you of the outcome by email or site notification. The original measure remains in effect while the appeal is pending.

13.3 An appeal does not necessarily change the original outcome. The decision made after review of the same matter is final. Repeated appeals may not be considered.

14. Sponsorship and Redemption

14.1 The basic features of this service are provided free of charge. You may voluntarily sponsor this service through a third-party sponsorship platform. Sponsorship proceeds are used to cover operating costs, including servers, networking, and maintenance.

14.2 Sponsorship is completed through a third-party sponsorship platform, which processes the payment. We do not obtain your payment information, such as bank card or payment account details. Transactions between you and the third-party sponsorship platform are also subject to that platform’s rules.

14.3 After sponsoring, you will receive a redemption code that can be redeemed on the game server for the corresponding sponsorship benefits. Redemption codes do not expire.

14.4 Sponsorship benefits are limited to content that does not affect game balance, such as cosmetics, decorations, and titles. They do not provide advantages in combat, resource acquisition, the economy, or administration, and comply with the Minecraft End User License Agreement and Usage Guidelines. We do not sell original Minecraft game content or offer randomized rewards purchased with real-world currency.

14.5 Once a redemption code has been redeemed on the game server, you are deemed to have agreed to our immediate provision of the corresponding digital content and acknowledged that you will lose the right to withdraw or request a refund upon completion of the redemption. Unredeemed codes may be handled in accordance with the rules of the third-party sponsorship platform. Mandatory legal provisions will prevail.

14.6 Sponsorship benefits are dependent on the game server, have no real-world monetary value, and may not be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.

14.7 If your account or game account is permanently suspended for violating this Agreement or the Server Rules, any sponsorship benefits you have received will become invalid. No refund or compensation will be provided.

14.8 If the game server ceases operation due to force majeure or other objective circumstances, sponsorship benefits will also end, unless otherwise required by law.

15. Intellectual Property

15.1 Intellectual property rights in the Minecraft game and related materials belong to Mojang Studios and its affiliates.

15.2 Intellectual property rights in this service’s website design, interface, text, images, logos, source code, and documentation (excluding user content and third-party content) belong to us or the respective rights holders. No one may copy, modify, distribute, or use them for commercial purposes without written permission.

15.3 The names and logos “YLG” and “烟翎阁” identify this service. They may not be used without permission or in a way that could lead others to believe they are affiliated with this service.

16. Copyright Complaints and Counter-Notifications

16.1 If you believe that content on this service infringes your copyright or other lawful rights, you may send a written notice to the copyright complaint email address at copyright@ylg.net.cn. The notice must include:

• The rights holder’s name or entity name and contact information;
• The specific link or location of the reported content;
• Preliminary evidence of ownership of the rights;
• A description of the infringement;
• A statement confirming the accuracy of the notice.

16.2 Upon receiving a compliant notice, we will promptly take necessary measures regarding the relevant content and forward the notice to the publisher.

16.3 If the publisher believes their content does not infringe any rights, they may submit a counter-notice to us with supporting evidence. We will forward the counter-notice to the complainant and decide whether to restore the relevant content in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.

16.4 A complainant who causes losses to others through a wrongful or malicious complaint shall be liable in accordance with the law.

17. Personal Information Protection

17.1 We take the protection of your personal information very seriously. For details on how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information, and on your rights, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

17.2 Some servers and service providers for this service are located outside your country or region. Your personal information may be transferred abroad for processing. By agreeing to this Agreement and the Privacy Policy, you consent to the cross-border processing of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

18. Minors

18.1 This service is intended for players of all ages. If you are a minor, you should register for and use this service with the consent and guidance of your guardian. If you are under 14 years old, your guardian must read and agree to this Agreement and the Privacy Policy.

18.2 Guardians should monitor minors’ use of this service and guide them to manage their gaming time reasonably, protect their personal information and property, and avoid excessive gaming.

18.3 Minors must obtain their guardian’s consent before making a sponsorship.

19. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

19.1 This service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties regarding the continuity, timeliness, security, or accuracy of this service, or its suitability for your specific needs.

19.2 To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for losses caused by:

• Force majeure, including natural disasters, war, government actions, and large-scale network failures;
• Cyberattacks, viruses, or issues attributable to third-party platforms or service providers;
• Maintenance, upgrades, rollbacks, or resets carried out to maintain normal service operation;
• Your violation of this Agreement or circumstances attributable to you (for example, password disclosure);
• Transactions or disputes between users, or content posted by other users.

19.3 In-game buildings, items, in-game currency, and other virtual content have no real-world monetary value. We will make reasonable efforts to restore virtual content lost due to data loss, rollback, or reset, but shall not be liable for compensation.

19.4 Nothing in this section or this Agreement excludes or limits our liability for losses caused to you by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or excludes or limits any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. This does not affect your statutory rights under the laws of your location that cannot be waived by agreement.

20. Indemnification

If your violation of this Agreement, infringement of another person’s lawful rights and interests, or violation of laws or regulations causes us or other users to suffer losses, face third-party claims, or incur administrative penalties, you shall bear the corresponding liability in accordance with the law.

21. Account Deletion

21.1 You may request account deletion at any time by sending an application from your registered email address to our contact email address. We will verify your identity to protect account security.

21.2 We will complete the deletion within 15 working days after verifying your identity. After deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

21.3 Deleted accounts cannot be restored. Your points, whitelist eligibility, sponsorship benefits, and other entitlements on this service will also expire. Content you have publicly posted will be deleted or anonymized.

21.4 If your account is subject to an unresolved dispute, penalty, or investigation, we may defer deletion until it has been resolved.

21.5 If you seriously violate this Agreement, we may terminate the service provided to you and delete or permanently ban your account.

22. Amendments to this Agreement

22.1 We may amend this Agreement in response to changes in laws and regulations, adjustments to the service, or operational needs. The amended Agreement will be published on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top of the page will be revised.

22.2 For amendments that may materially affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you before they take effect through website announcements, on-site notifications, email, or other means, and specify the main changes and effective date.

22.3 Once the amended Agreement takes effect, your continued use of this service constitutes acceptance of the amended Agreement. If you do not agree to the amendments, you may stop using this service and delete your account.

23. Notices and Delivery

23.1 We may send you notices through one or more channels, including website announcements, on-site notifications, email, or in-game announcements.

23.2 Notices issued through website announcements or in-game announcements are deemed delivered on the date of publication. Notices sent through on-site notifications or email are deemed delivered on the date they are successfully sent. Please ensure that the email address linked to your account is valid and check it regularly.

23.3 You may send us a notice by contacting us via email.

24. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

24.1 The formation, performance, and interpretation of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws permitted by applicable law that are most closely connected to this Service. Nothing in this Agreement excludes any mandatory consumer protection or personal information protection rights you may have under the laws of your habitual residence.

24.2 Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Agreement shall first be resolved through amicable negotiations between the parties. You may contact us via email, and we will give your message due consideration and respond as soon as possible.

24.3 If negotiations fail, either party may seek resolution from a competent authority in accordance with applicable law.

25. Miscellaneous

25.1 If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The provision shall be enforced, to the extent permitted by law, in a manner that most closely reflects its original intent.

25.2 Our failure or delay in exercising any right under this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of that right.

25.3 The headings in this Agreement are for convenience only and do not affect the meaning or interpretation of its provisions.

25.4 The Simplified Chinese version of this Agreement shall prevail. Other language versions are generated by machine translation and are provided for reference only. In the event of any inconsistency between language versions, the Simplified Chinese version shall prevail.
